Apologies to all, I just skimmed the thread before. I've removed my post where I suggested upgrading wireless firmware when the issue is a missing Ethernet device. OopsYes. I may have drawn you in while I was thinking wrong! As reported the wireless is working and a separate wired interface is MIA.
My thought is that lspci doesn't see the device so this is most likely a hardware issue.
