General Questions • [Software] USB Tethering Slower than Expected

I have a system with an ASRock Fatal1ty Z270 Gaming K6 motherboard. It has 2 USB 3.1 and 4 USB 3.0 ports. My case also includes 2 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 ports. Regardless of which USB port I use, USB tethering only allows a max download speed of around 5 Mb/s. On my Windows laptop, the same phone (Sony Xperia XQ-AS62) and USB-C to USB-A cord allows for a maximum of about 30 Mb/s (the expected). I am not sure if this is a software compatibility issue with the phone or with my USB ports. I do not have a USB 3.0 drive around to benchmark the ports, but I will obtain one tomorrow. Below is the output for lsusb and lsusb -t. Please let me know what solutions I should try or information to include.
