Hardware • Live Debian USB does not boot kernel

When ever I dd of an iso mage from any distribution onto usb boot media I'll tend to pass the following variant of the dd command.

Code:

$ sudo dd if=./debian-live-12.7.0-amd64-gnome.iso of=/dev/sdc bs=1M status=progress oflag=sync
The reason that I transfer the ISO Image at such a low number of bytes per second is that I want to make doubly double sure that I get a complete write and I'll admit that I'm also a really lazy sun of a gun. The other thing is that I happen to have a beast of a Work Station that is the computer from which I dd all of my ISO images on to USB boot media however, ever seance I bought my new TB usb three external USB SSD I pretty much just use that as a ventoy repository.
