System and Network configuration • NetworkManager wifi AP does not allocate IP addresses

Hello Aki,

Yes, you understood well the issue. To answer your questions:
  • 1) The second computer that is trying to connect on the AP is running Ubuntu, not Debian. The traces that are show in the initial post are collected from the Ubuntu system.
    2) I created the AP using NetworkManager by sending all the commands quoted from the shell. That basically the command log. I build it by myself based a) NM documentation b)some examples found.
    3) dnsmasq is installed
    4) dnsmasq service is **NOT** running
    5) There is no dhcp server running, only clients
So, if I understand well, NetworkManager is not taking care of running a DHCP server on the interface and this shall be done manually, but how ? Shall we perform the DHCP server configuration outside NetworkManager ?

Thanks
