System and Network configuration • Installing missing firmware

Hello,
I need newer firmware for my AX210. I've downloaded it and it works when placed in /lib/firmware
I've run update-initramfs and it loads after a reboot, but the firmware file is missing from /lib/firmware
After another reboot, the firmware fails to load at all.
Is the firmware file missing from the /lib/firmware in the root file system (/) or in the initramfs ?

Can you please run the following command before and after the firmware is in /lib/firmware disappear (note: the package named "initramfs-tools-core" must be installed) ?

Code:

script log_$(date +%Y%m%d_%H%M%S).txtls -al /lib/ls -alR /lib/firmware/lsinitramfs "/boot/initrd.img-$(uname -r)"exit
After each run, a log file is generated. You can compress it (e.g. tar.gz) and attach it to a follow-up post.

Hope this helps.
