Debian Bookworm 12
In the process of adding a server in the basement of home,, and want to set up an actual mesh wifi setup,,between existing desktop Debian Bookworm 12 in office,,,running as houses AP to Cellular internet.
In past its always been a hodge podge setup,,and for a couple years simply run two machines with two hostapd setup,,using the same SSID and,, pretty much had the same effect as mesh
Of all things,,have never really found a how to on,,how to do a mesh setup in gnome-networkmanager. May be missing womething but sure dont see an option in NM,, to do a mesh wifi config. May have to just do two hotspot setups,,with the same SSID,,but would like to get totally away from wired ethernet,,is where am going with this.
Am sure the througput if a mesh setup,,could happen will be slightly less vesus a wired mahine,,,each with an wifi card with same SSID.
Ideas?
TIA
